The Crosskeys Inn at Eppleby is the heart of our beautiful village with a fantastic village community and is ideally situated centrally to Darlington, Richmond and Barnard Castle ( approx. 9 miles from each ).

This Public House has been a focal point within the village for longer than I care to remember and lots of you will have fond memories of your time here over the years I am sure.

Unfortunately, the previous owner (and a family friend) fell ill back in 2021 and never re-opened the pub following the Covid epidemic.
We ( Anthony & Melanie Allum ) purchased the pub late 2021 and following a year of major renovations we re-opened the pub in October 2022.

Having been beautifully refurbished keeping its traditional characteristics whilst being up to date with modern décor. You will be greeted by a friendly team behind the bar and will feel welcomed immediately.

We had never owned a pub before but did not want to see the pub simply turn into houses as a lot of rural pubs have done and as such, we started the process of bringing this once popular place back to life.

We have learnt a lot over the last 2 years but now believe we have what is a warm, friendly and welcoming Rural Village pub which along with a good Bar offering also has a FANTASTIC local Chef offering some of the best Culinary experiences around.

Our Menu Changes as Chef likes to cook seasonal offerings to be sure of the freshest of ingredients possible – We also boast a Specials board which is tweaked weekly with some mouth watering delights.

Whilst we have a food offering to challenge most, we also want to retain our roots and have a busy schedule of Bingo Nights, Quiz nights, Darts and Dominoes to name but a few of what we have going on.
